TISSL EPOS Review

In 2003 TISSL was founded with the idea of providing a high level of support and reliable EPOS systems for their customers, something they saw as difficult to come by at the time. With almost 1,000 clients and over 50 staff, they have grown to become a highly sought after provider with consistently positive reviews.

Sectors

Most EPOS systems need to be designed to suit a specific industry. This can, however, make for rigid systems and some providers are only capable of offering systems to the mainstays of the industry; retail and hospitality. TISSL provide flexible systems that are used across various sectors within the hospitality industry. These include:

  • Restaurants
  • Fast Food
  • Pubs and Nightclubs
  • Private Clubs
  • Corporations
  • Hotels

Restaurants

While most providers offer detailed and useful EPOS solutions, TISSL have designed specific EPOS devices and systems across the many types of restaurants in the UK, from fine dining to more casual ventures. These two sectors within the sector will often need to make do with systems that are not perfectly suited for them, TISSL have resolved these issues with two bespoke packages.

With the fine dining, features include a highly flexible menu platform, membership options and reservation services for valued customers. For more casual enterprises there are set menu designs, discounting features and preset options for everything from receipt printing to bar menu interfaces.

Fast Food

Fast food ventures require many different features from traditional restaurants. Efficiency is the most important part of the restaurant industry and there are an enormous range of features to make sure the business runs as smoothly as possible. Automatic ordering from the kitchen and wireless devices that process queuing during busy periods can as much as halve processing times of orders.

SMS alerts and customer reward schemes are all conducive to providing a high level of satisfaction for clients and an overview of the business’s sales helps to maintain the correct level of staff for both busy and quiet periods, maximising efficiency and avoiding waste.

Pubs and Nightclubs

Pubs and nightclubs require many of the same features from their EPOS systems but this is not to say that there are not some areas in which the technology can be focused specifically. It should also be noted that, much like other areas of the hospitality industry, each business within the sector may be vastly different from the next.

Reliability and sturdiness, however, are constant requirements and TISSL have designed water and shock proof devices that can handle the wear and tear that the average pub or club puts them through. There is also a “Stand Alone Mode” in which the technology can continue to process orders, even when the network is down.

Private Clubs

The requirements of most private clubs are fairly narrow compared with a nightclub or bar and will generally be focused on areas such as membership information and reservations. TISSL have designed bespoke software to process these types of processes with private clubs in mind.

Corporations

Larger corporations require vastly more complex systems than a small business. An overview of the various areas of the business is essential to maintaining good business practice and systems that, although complex in their capabilities, are simple and intuitive. TISSL EPOS is perfectly designed for larger ventures with many outlets and is hugely popular with many corporations across various sectors.

Hotels

The hotel sector requires a system that can be easily integrated across the vast range of requirements the business inherently has. From kitchen services to checkins and checkouts, the range of processes an EPOS system is required to take on in the hotel industry is possibly the most varied of all.

TISSL’s clients include The Ritz and many other high end hotels as well as smaller enterprises, with specific software for those with under 10 rooms. Using the flexibility it provides in other industries, from fine to casual dining for example, it is one of the most highly regarded hotel EPOS providers in the country.

Software

TISSL software is intuitive to use, even for those without experience with the technology, and flexible enough to provide solutions for vastly different enterprises within the hospitality industry. From small bars, requiring clear and concise countertop interfaces, to the complex requirements of corporate ventures with many outlets, the software is highly adaptable and reliable.

Support

An EPOS provider is only as good as the support it offers. As TISSL were founded with the purpose of providing the very highest level of support, it is in this area that the company get the most positive feedback and reviews.

Phone support is available 365 days a year, with hardware and software catered for between the hours of 9am and 12am and software alone until 5.30pm. If the issue is an ongoing problem they ensure that you are kept informed with any progress. Installation and training is also available for all.
